Homestead® 17% Lamb Grower is a high energy, pelleted lamb feed designed for lambs until weaned.
Homestead® 14% Lamb Finisher pellets are designed to take lambs from weaning to market.
Both products contain ammonium chloride to help reduce instances of urinary calculi (water belly) and contain no added copper.
Palatability is of the utmost importance in getting lambs to start eating and to consistently consume feed. Homestead Lamb Grower and Finisher feeds are formulated with high quality, palatable ingredients such as alfalfa and molasses to promote feed intake.
No Added Copper: All classes of sheep are susceptible to copper toxicity. Homestead Lamb Grower and Finisher feeds contain no added copper.
Ammonium Chloride helps prevent urinary calculi (water belly). Homestead Lamb Grower and Finisher feeds provide ammonium chloride and provide the proper calcium to phosphorus ratio to help in the management of urinary calculi.
Organic Minerals: Organic zinc & organic selenium have been added to help get more of these important minerals into the animal.
Vitamin Fortification: Homestead Lamb Grower and Finisher feeds are specially formulated to provide Vitamins A, D, E, and thiamin, which are instrumental in stimulation of the natural immune system.
Additional Yeast is added to help with fiber digestion.
Pelleted products reduce the amount of separation of ingredients, therefore reducing feed wastage.

Homestead 17% Lamb Grower
Start feeding to lambs when they are 4 weeks of age and continue until lambs are 13 weeks of age or one week after weaning, whichever is later. Feed at the rate of 1.1 to 5.1 pounds per head per day.

Feed at the rate of 1.1 to 5.1 pounds per head per day to supply 15 to 70 mg Lasalocid per head per day.
Homestead 17% Lamb Grower D11.35
Start feeding lambs at the rate of 2.0 pounds per 100 pounds body weight to provide 22.7 milligrams Decoquinate per 100 pounds body weight. Feed at least 28 days during periods of exposure or when experience indicates that coccidiosis is likely to be a hazard.
Homestead 14% Lamb Finisher
May be fed as the sole ration from 13 weeks of age or one week after weaning, whichever is later, until market.

Feed at the rate of 1.1 to 5.1 pounds per head per day to supply 15 to 70 mg Lasalocid per head per day.
Best results can be achieved by feeding in small quantities in a dry area to keep feed clean and fresh. Remove spoiled feed regularly to encourage consumption.
It is recommended that lambs be vaccinated for Types C and D enterotoxemia (overeating disease).
A medium quality hay may be added with all rations.
Offer Homestead Sheep Mineral in order to assure proper levels of vitamins and minerals are being consumed, especially during periods of high stress.
Feeding Tips
- Divide the suggested daily feeding rate into 2 or 3 feedings per day.
- Changes in the diet should be made over a 1 to 2 week period to help prevent digestive disturbances.
- Provide plenty of fresh, clean water at all times.
- Never feed any feedstuffs that are moldy, musty or suspect in any way.
