FOUNDATION® dairy premixes are designed for lactating cow rations where vitamin and trace mineral requirements are not met by other supplements or minerals, and are available in four different calcium to phosphorus ratios.

Choice of Four Ca : P Ratios

FOUNDATION Dairy Premixes come in four different calcium to phosphorus ratios: 1:1, 2:1, 3:1 and 14:1. These different levels help balance mineral requirements for animals fed either high levels of corn silage, or a mixture of corn silage and alfalfa hay/haylage.

High Trace Mineral Fortification

FOUNDATION Dairy Premixes are designed for feeding programs where no other trace mineral fortification is added. Trace minerals such as selenium, copper, zinc and cobalt are essential for proper nutrient utilization and performance.

High Vitamin A, D and E Fortification

FOUNDATION Dairy Premixes are formulated for feeding programs where no other vitamin fortification is added. Proper vitamin supplementation results in better utilization of minerals for improved health and performance.

Feeding Directions

Use Foundation Dairy Premix 1 in a forage program consisting of corn silage and alfalfa hay/haylage mixture. Include Foundation Dairy Premix 1 at a rate of 0.6 to 1.0 pound (10.0 to 16.0 ounces) per head daily.

Use Foundation Dairy Premix 2 in a forage program consisting of a high level of corn silage and/or low calcium grass hay/haylage. Include Foundation Dairy Premix 2 at the rate of 0.6 to 1.0 pound (10.0 to 16.0 ounces) per head daily.

Use Foundation Dairy Premix 3 in a forage program consisting of predominantly corn silage. Include Foundation Dairy Premix 3 at the rate of 0.6 to 1.0 pound (10.0 to 16.0 ounces) per head daily.

Use Foundation Dairy Premix A in a low calcium forage program consisting of corn silage or grass hay/haylage. It can also be used when high phosphorus containing commodities, such as corn gluten feed, are in the ration. Include Foundation Dairy Premix A at the rate of 0.6 to 1.0 pound (10.0 to 16.0 ounces) per head daily.

Caution

These products, which contains added copper, must not be fed to sheep or related species that have a low tolerance level to copper. These products have been formulated specifically for dairy cattle and are not intended for other species.
