This unique combination was designed through years of extensive research on nutrition’s impact on lactating cow performance when supplemented in the first two years of the growing heifer’s life.
Blueprint is formulated with Alltech’s Total Replacement Technology™ (TRT), consisting of organic trace minerals that support absorption, retention and utilization in dairy calves and heifers. Blueprint ingredients work synergistically to help dairy heifers reach their full genetic potential, resulting in ideal growth, maximum reproductive performance and optimal health while reducing excess mineral excretion into the environment. Other Alltech technologies are strategically included for additional immune, health and growth support.
It is recommended that concentrates be mixed with other grains to make a complete feed for growing and developing dairy heifers.
Blueprint 34% Dairy Heifer Concentrate — This pelleted formula is designed for calves from two to six months of age. This is a 34% all-natural protein supplement created to support growth and health during the early growth portion of the young heifer’s life. With added support from Bio-Mos® and Yea-Sacc® Extra, this concentrate helps continue developing the growing rumen of the young heifer.
Blueprint 40-12 Dairy Heifer Concentrate — This pelleted formula is designed for young heifers from five to 16 months of age with a fully functioning rumen to continue to support efficient growth in a more concentrated pellet. The formula is manufactured with 40% protein, with 12% coming from urea, to supplement heifer diets and, in turn, maximize rumen and heifer health while also promoting continued growth and efficiency. Integral® A+ and Yea-Sacc Extra help to continue to maintain gut health, growth and digestion while minimizing mycotoxin challenges.
Blueprint Dairy Heifer Mineral — This mineral formula is designed for heifers from six to 22 months of age. It is fortified with macro minerals through TRT to ensure heifer health, growth efficiency and reproductive viability. This flexible formulation helps cover the nutrient needs of the heifer through breeding and gestation, working to maximize her potential as she enters the lactating herd. Yea-Sacc Extra helps to continue to maintain gut health, growth and digestion.
Flexible feeding and mixing
Blueprint Calf 34% Concentrates can be used to make 16–18% crude protein grain mixes to be fed to heifers during their first six months of life.
Blueprint Heifer 40-12 Concentrates can be used to make 16%, 14% and 12% crude protein grain mixes to be fed to heifers from approximately five to sixteen months of age.
Blueprint Dairy Heifer Minerals can be fed free-choice, top-dressed or incorporated into grain mixes to provide supplemental minerals and vitamins.
Choice of additives
Blueprint calf and heifer concentrates and minerals are available with feed additives at FDA-approved levels. The proper use of feed additives can increase the rate of weight gain and improve feed efficiency. Refer to product tags for specific claims.
