Protein Sources and Quality
Dairy Beef Supreme products are designed to support optimal performance at the best cost. The protein sources in Dairy Beef Supreme products are chosen based on digestibility, rumen available protein (RAP) and undegradable intake protein (UIP) to maximize lean muscle growth.
Vitamins
Dairy Beef Supreme products are heavily fortified because Holsteins tend to be more prone to health problems and the type of feeding program lends itself to stress situations.
Fortified with Minerals
When the recommended products are used, the Dairy Beef Supreme Program normally meets mineral requirements. As with any feedlot program, ingredient analysis and diet formulation based on those analyses are important for optimum productivity.
Grain Choices
The Supreme Dairy Beef Program is based on the use of whole, dry shelled corn. Other grain sources are discouraged.
Cattle Types
The Dairy Beef Supreme Program should be used on Holstein steers and large frame breeds where high energy diets are necessary to finish the animal at desired carcass weights.
Choice of Additives
Proper use of feed additives can improve animal performance. Refer to the product tag for a specific claim. Dairy Beef Supreme products are available with approved feed additives.
